About Andy Buchanan:

Andy Buchanan is a native Texan and fine artist currently living in Mckinney, Tx. Born in 1981, Andy has always been a lover of the outdoors. Some of his many interests include music, camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, bike-riding, and nature photography. All of these have greatly impacted the direction of his learning and his art career. The early years in his art education often took on the shape of during and after-school painting, drawing, and clay sculpture classes and camps. His proficiency in and obsession with detail work grew steadily throughout middle school, high school, and college as well.

Professionally, he got started in the commercial art world working for a company that required his skills to paint murals and sculpt large decorations and sculptures for museums, restaurants, and also some private clientele. Since then, he’s completed various murals, and branched into the work he now loves the most. Oil paintings.

Today, although his education has led him to be quite proficient in several genres of the art world, he has been lately making an effort to keep his endeavors more keenly focused on fewer subjects.
